Popularly called as the Casino. It was initially thought to install next to the Plaza de Toros, but in the end it was installed in the Plaza del Socorro. The building presents traits of nationalist and regionalist styles typical of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
It is the first building with a clear transition to Modernism, made by the architect Pedro Alonso Gutiérrez. It was inaugurated in October 1903. It stands out in its decorative elements, doors and windows, the constant references to the Spanish Plateresque style and the introduction of some modernist components.
The building consists of three floors, in which the windows on the upper floor stand out, which are arranged in arcades germinated in the side streets and, as a gallery, in the central one; the balcony with plateresque decorative motifs; and the building is finished off with a very outstanding cornice decorated with palmettes.
Inside it has a beautiful courtyard with columns and arches of neoclassical expression, and surrounded the entire perimeter with some worthy Nasrid-style tiles. In this building the Andalusian Assembly of 1918 was held, presided over by Blas Infante, where the shield, motto and flag of Andalusia were approved.
